About me

Joana Osman is a German-Palestinian writer, storytelling coach and peace activist.

Her passion for words, art, and creativity compelled her to study literature, drama, and arts at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.

She holds a master’s degree in American Literature and went on to study didactic writing at the University of Freiburg. In 2012, she became active in the viral online grassroots movement ‘The Peace Factory‘, a Facebook based dialogue and friendship project between the people of the Middle East.

Being a writer and a peace activist, Joana decided to combine both passions and has specialized in intercultural writing workshops. With Wor(l)dspirit, she offers coaching and writing advice in the fields of creative writing as well as academic and professional writing.

„I’ve been making up stories since I can remember and writing is what keeps me going.
As a writer and peace activist, I believe that creative work, art, and storytelling can be a healing tool in conflict resolution. I also believe that creativity is something that’s given to all of us and that can be evoked, trained and used to enrich and enchant our lives.“

Five years later he’s helped inspire unprecedented communication, conversation and understanding between citizens of these two countries. His Facebook page has also encouraged other social media users to create pages of their own, including America Loves Iraq, Turkey Loves Armenia and many more that foster connection between people in various conflict zones around the world.

Ausgerechnet.
